The Lone Star Chapter (LSC) of the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the bleeding disorders of South Texas. In the beginning this chapter existed to connect families and ensure adequate blood supply. There were informal gatherings and the chapter organized blood drives. However, throughout the years, the emphasis changed as the needs of the community changed.

Today people affected with a bleeding disorder can take full advantage of advanced medication and more effective treatment regiments. The emphasis of the chapter has turned to connecting families and ensuring that they have the necessary information to manage their bleeding disorder successfully. One of our focuses is access to our medication and to our hemophilia treatment centers. Check the website for the next Washington Day.
